CHRISTMAS TREE CARD

I saw a card with this technique on Pinterest and it really intrigued me.  She used this embossing folder from Stamping Up.  I just had to have this embossing folder to try this technique.  When I first saw it, I wondered how in the world she got the stamped image behind the birch trees.  Well, you stamp the embossing folder first and then run it through the your machine.
I still need some practice and more stamps that will work, but I wanted to share with you the idea.  Isn't it fun.  This could be a quick Christmas card if you have a lot to make.  The birds are from a Martha Stewart punch, the large trees are Impression Obsession and the tree scene in the background is from Memory Box.  Would love to hear your thoughts on this technique.

Love it! Had to read your instructions twice because I didn't quite believe what you said. Going to try it this morning. Good job!

I love the stamped background you used. Wonderful card. I have the embossing folder and have tired a few cards using this technique. Fun, but it does have a learning curve.

so I am curious what happens to the ink from the stamped image when you emboss it. It looks like a little might still be on the card stock but not much. interesting. I have this so will have to try it also.

What a great technique! I love it! And I love your finished card. I am going to take a stab at this technique and try to create a Christmas scene as one of my Christmas projects. Hope it turns out as nice as yours. Thanks for sharing it, Joan!

Beautiful card! I got this folder too... it's a great design! Just barely fits through my Cuttlebug though.
